Weave Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Weave's Terms and Conditions of Use (these "Terms"). This is a legal agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “user”) and Dinakara Connects Pvt. Ltd. ("Weave," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or mobile application (“Weave” or the “App”). By accessing, viewing, or using Weave, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use Weave.
Please also read our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference into these Terms.
1. General Rules
You must meet the following criteria to create an account and use Weave:
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is older) to create an account and use Weave.
- Legally Allowed: You are legally permitted to use Weave by the laws of your home country.
- Honest and Accurate Information: All information you provide when creating an account must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
We reserve the right to ask for verification of your identity, including but not limited to a government-issued ID, to confirm that you meet the age and other eligibility requirements.
If you use Facebook, Google, or any other third-party account to create a Weave account, you give us permission to access and use certain information from that third-party account, such as your profile picture and location.
2. Creating and Deleting Accounts
When you create an account with Weave, you agree to:
- Use your real name and identity.
- Not share your account with anyone or allow others to use your account without permission.
If you decide to leave Weave, you may delete your account at any time via the Settings page in the app. Once you delete your account, your profile and content will be removed, but it may take some time for this information to be fully erased from our systems. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
If your account is terminated or deleted, you may not create a new account with the same credentials during any period of suspension.
3. Types of Content
On Weave, you will encounter the following types of content:
- Your Content: Content that you upload, share, or post (e.g., profile pictures, messages, and event details).
- Member Content: Content uploaded by other users.
- Our Content: Content created and owned by Weave, such as designs, algorithms, user interface elements, and software.
Your Content
You retain ownership of Your Content, but by uploading it to Weave, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, modify, display, distribute, and create derivative works from Your Content. You agree that Your Content must comply with our Community Guidelines.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. We do not pre-screen content, but we may review and remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
You must not post content that:
- Is illegal or encourages illegal activities.
- Is defamatory, harmful, or harassing to other members.
- Infringes upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Contains explicit or inappropriate images or text.
Member Content
Other users will also upload content to Weave, and you agree to respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of other users. You are not allowed to use other members' content for commercial purposes without their permission.
We are not responsible for the actions or content of other users on Weave. You may report any inappropriate content or behavior through our in-app reporting tools.
4. Prohibited Conduct
We expect all users to behave respectfully and responsibly on Weave, both online and during real-world events. By using Weave, you agree that you will not:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
- Use Weave for commercial purposes without our written consent.
- Engage in any form of harassment, abuse, or bullying, whether online or in-person at a Weave-organized event.
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts.
- Misrepresent your identity, age, or location.
- Use any automated system, such as bots, to interact with Weave.
- Post spam, unsolicited advertisements, or irrelevant content.
- Use Weave to organize events with the intent to scam, defraud, or harm others.
5. Real-World Events and Experiences
Weave enables users to organize and participate in both digital and real-world meetups and events. When attending or hosting a real-world event, you agree to:
- Comply with all local laws and regulations.
- Be respectful and mindful of other participants' safety, privacy, and well-being.
- Follow the rules and guidelines set by event organizers and venues.
Weave is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or disputes that may arise during in-person events facilitated through the App. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their own safety when attending events.
6. Safety and Reporting
At Weave, safety is our top priority. We use both automated systems and human moderators to monitor accounts and content for any behavior or content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
If you feel uncomfortable or encounter inappropriate content or behavior, please use the in-app reporting tools to report the issue. We encourage you to report any incidents that occur both online and during in-person meetups or events.
In serious situations, we may report certain behaviors to law enforcement.
7. Paid Services and Subscriptions
Weave offers certain paid services and features, which may include subscriptions, premium accounts, or one-time purchases.
Subscription and Auto-Renewal
If you subscribe to a premium service, your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time by managing your account settings within the App or through the third-party service you used to subscribe (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play).
Refunds
In general, all purchases are final, and we do not offer refunds for unused services, including subscriptions. Please refer to the specific terms presented to you at the time of purchase for further details.
Taxes
You are responsible for paying any taxes associated with your subscription or purchase. If Weave is required to collect taxes on your behalf, we will notify you and include the applicable taxes in your charges.
8. Virtual Goods and Features
Weave may offer digital or virtual items (such as digital tokens, special features, or event-related perks). These virtual items:
- Have no real-world monetary value.
- Are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Are subject to expiration or limited use at Weave's discretion.
Once purchased or obtained, virtual items cannot be exchanged for real money or other compensation. Weave reserves the right to modify or terminate virtual items at any time without notice or liability.
9. Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. 1By using Weave, you agree that we may collect and use your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property appearing on Weave, other than Your Content and Member Content, are owned or licensed by Weave. You may not use, modify, distribute, or reproduce any of Weave's content without our explicit consent.
Your use of Weave is limited to the rights granted under these Terms, and you may not use any of our intellectual property for commercial purposes.
11. Termination of Account
Weave reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or engaged in any behavior that we deem harmful to the Weave community.
If your account is terminated, you will lose access to your profile, content, and any paid services. We will not issue refunds for any unused subscription time if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
In the event of any dispute between you and Weave, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us directly. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the jurisdiction in which you reside.
You agree to waive your right to participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. All disputes must be resolved on an individual basis.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Weave is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available or that it will function without errors or interruptions. You use Weave at your own risk.
Weave does not guarantee that you will find successful connections, events, or experiences through the App.
14. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Weave be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for any paid
service or subscription.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Weave harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other users, both online and in real life.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and any disputes arising from your use of Weave are governed by the laws of India without regard to its conflict of law principles. All disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved in the courts of India, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Changes to These Terms
Weave reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms in the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
